Evolution Carpentry was founded in 2015 in Campbelltown, Sydney by Cameron McDonald, though Cameron's story started much earlier.

From just 5 or 6, Cameron was hands-on, helping his grandfather, painting and putting up fences and learning the value of hard work and craftsmanship. This early experience created a lifelong passion for building and doing things with his hands

After years of honing his skills with high-end home builders in Sydney, working on projects ranging from $38 million heritage restorations to theatres and carports, Cameron decided it was time for a change.

In 2022, he moved to Port Macquarie with his wife, driven by a dream of raising a family in a place where they could grow their own food and live a life filled with connection and outdoor adventures.

Cameron's move to Port Macquarie was more than just a relocation; it was a commitment to bring quality and experience to a family-oriented community.

Do I need Council Approval?

There are specific requirements for each and every council to determine if your project can proceed without council approval. If you choose to apply for council approval Evolution Carpentry & Designs expert team will manage the entire process for you.

Once a quote is accepted, we'll perform a check measure to gather accurate details, answer any questions, and discuss everything with you. Following this, we'll arrange a deposit and engage a draftsman to design the plans for submission.
Depending on your location, you may need bushfire, boundary, or engineering reports. Once council approves your application, we'll start the job. All fees and associated costs are passed directly to you, ensuring you pay only what is necessary.

Do You Offer Finance?

Yes, We are partnered with one of Australia’s leading Financial Brokers and can generally have you fully approved in 2-3 days (depending on individual circumstances)

How Can I Pay?

Evolution Carpentry Design accepts all types of payments: Cash, Cheque & Electronic Transfer

How Long Does It Take?

Once a quote has been accepted it generally takes 2 weeks for us to get to site and on average we have a 3 day build time for decks and pergolas - This all varies depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Our average lead time for bathroom renovations to start is approximately 2 weeks and the project going on for about 4 weeks

I Have Pets, Is This A Problem?

Nope, not at all!
We are more than happy to work in with you and your animals! In many cases we have helped construct temporary fencing to section off a part of the backyard so the dogs are safe for the duration of the day while we are on site.
